Tuesday’s Tear Sheet: Real Momma
OMG it’s Tuesday. What the hell happened to the weekend? And Monday?
Well since it’s Tuesday I wanted to share another Tear Sheet with y’all. I figured a spin on tear sheets would be a great way to share what I’ve been working on design-wise and introduce y’all to new bloggers I’ve come across. Be sure to connect with them! You KNOW I’ve always got wicked peeps for you.
Back to Tuesday Tearsheets
For those who aren’t familiar with Tear Sheets, in the imaging industry, a tear sheet is a promotion piece used by creatives to prove to clients that they’ve been published. For photographers and other creatives, it’s a printed piece, usually a reproduction of the magazine ad that their work was published for.
So today I’d like to introduce you to Laura of RealMomma.com
She’s a fellow mompreneur who really rocks at changing the world, one person at a time, by encouraging connecting with your life purpose. If you’re a mom with only two hands she’s got great tips on getting organized.
Here’s what Laura had to say about her experience working with me.
When I first decided I wanted a new look for my site I thought I should just upgrade from a basic wordpress theme to something personal but I had no clue what I actually wanted. I know I wanted to work with someone who understood what being a busy Mom is and where I’m coming from on a daily basis, I needed a site that worked for me; it had to be easy to manage, post, navigate, and depict the real me! Vanita worked her heart out, she made me dig down deep and find the reason I really wanted to blog and the reason why I want to help others, she reminded me to be authentic and honest – the two qualities I value the most – with the decisions I was making because the site was going to be my “baby” and I was the one who had to live with it not her. The experience working with Vanita was amazing she took what little ideas I gave her and turned it into a masterpiece that I not only like but LOVE, it is way more than I ever expected. I feel that she can work miracles and I am truly honored to work with her.
Before
After
The screenshot really doesn’t do it justice. So head over to RealMomma and check it out for yourself! Be sure to introduce yourself to Laura. She’s super sweet and helpful and a great resource for busy moms.
I gotta tell you all, the main reason I love working with moms over small businesses, is the friendships that we build from being women who can relate to each other and work so well together towards a common goal.
BTW, did you enter the WordPress Blog Theme Giveaway for a custom design? If so, check out last night’s post to see who won and to laugh at my twitter nightmare!
If you haven’t signed up yet, the Mompreneurs, After Bedtime Newsletter will be where I’ll be sharing future discounts and running special giveaways for subscribers only, so be sure to sign up here! You don’t have to be a Mompreneur to sign up but, I must warn you, the newsletters will be focused on supporting moms wanting to or who are already running their own blog/web based business.
I want to do my small part to help change the world. And for me, that’s helping my fellow moms who need guidance and support in building a home based business. So stick around my sistahs, great things to come!

Wow! Thank you can not express how grateful I am to connect with you. Many great things are to come for me as well, I can’t wait!!

Hi Vanita- the design looks beautiful! I saw that you guys chose to get rid of the email sign-up on the homepage. Did you find that people don’t use it anymore?
