Empower Network: Where You Learn Nothing

A few weeks ago I posted When You’re Told It’s Ok To Steal From Another Blogger.

At the time, I honestly had no bloody clue what Empower Network (EN) was.

Then I came across a woman on the Bloggy Moms Network who has this “easy make money from home” with EN post going and I’m like, what the hell?

Then I came across another mom selling the same “make money from home easy” deal.

So I looked into it a little more.

Then a little more.

Then an old blogging friend posted a video on FB that just…shocked me. Cause really I never expected he’d get involved with a company that promotes stealing.

So we had a short chat on FB and I’m sharing it here with you. We had this Chat on September 23rd.

Yes I waited almost a month. Why? You know me, I like to do my homework. I had actually planned to signup next month and see what the real deal is. But! Ana from Traffic Generation Cafe saved me my dollars. When you’re done here, I want you to head over and read her post. But first my convo with a Empower Network member.

Please note, I still like this guy, and I feel bad because I know if he knew the whole low down or if there was a real post out there telling you what Empower Network really is, he would not be in so deep. So, his name and anything that can connect anyone to him has been replaced with a generic term and placed between brackets [like so].

On Sept 23, 2012 I emailed [Don] and mentioned seeing his video on facebook about hitting Google Search Results spot #1 overnight and wanting to learn how. He found me on FB and here’s how our conversation about Empowered Network went.

great! i know how you made page one google, so no need to answer that. i’m more interested in what empowered network is and if it’s the real deal before i put my money in anything ya know?

Ohhh I know I was the same way. Took me a year to jump in…. Am very glad I did. Yes it’s the real deal. I am speaking on a conference call tonight about it. I was contacted and invited as a guest speaker on how to market it. I was making money the first day I started as I had some people lined up to start as well.

so really Don what is it? i’ve watched the whole sales video, i’ve been to the guy’s site, i forget his name, the skinny surfer looking guy with the hottie wife, i still dont get what it is

It’s a blogging platform. But much more. It is SEO’d out the butt and google loves it. $25 a month for a blog that is all set up for you. Or you can upgrade. And it truly is 100% commission.

i guess to clarify, i’m wondering what service do you as a member offer that’s making you money

It offers training in online marketing, blogging etc. All at different levels.

so you’re offering training in how to market your business online along with a fully optimized site?

yes

and it’s a community? y’all link to each other and network with one another

yes… and each member is a backlink to your blog… 40,000 right now… very strong

so every member basically offers the same training they received? so if i had a accounting business online and i needed training in marketing it, this wouldn’t apply, right?

No it’s not specific to any skill set. It offers marketing training on blogging. Like for me I am in [3rd Party Biz]. I offer my downline the EM network as a blog platform for them and it creates a funnel to eventually lead them to [3rd Party Biz] or whatever company you are with. Some people are using it as their primary business as well.

i’m thinking…wondering if this system would be good for my wordpress blog design service
or if it’s better suited in offering training people to blog and market a blog

I don’t see why not. It would have you on page one pretty quick to market your business. And also as blog training for your clients.

so without a business to market, say i wanted to keep it separate from afterbedtimeblog, because vanitacyril.com isn’t doing squat, so let’s say i don’t have a business, can i still benefit from this system? because i came across a mom blogger offering the service and she said it’s a great way to “make money from home”, not “to learn to market your biz”

Yes… it can be used also as a home business you just market it as a blog platform and a way to make money without mlm, etc.

like in [3rd Party Biz], you become a representative then share the company, product and sign people up etc.

Yes …. [3rd Party Biz] is a weight loss, athletic product company…. my site is here [Don.3rdparty.com] check it out
I use Empower network to blog about it and make money from it at the same time. So essentially 2 business’

so empowered network is what you’re using for the [3rd Party Biz] site? meaning, is that the site running on your empowered network blog platform or [don.com]?

haha no… [don.com] is now my training site. I have 2 blogs now. Empower is linked to it yes but separate. If that makes sense lol…. Empower I use solely to blog about my primary business. It gets ranked and noticed fast which drives them to my [3rd Party Biz] site.

Yes that one is…. Also my empower posts are on page one too…. That one took me by surprise and learned that Empower was pushing it up because of the links to it

yes
I also learned that localizing your keywords is loved by Google.

but what was the keyword again? i’d like to see who else is on the front page

but that’s what you searched google for when you found your site on page one?

how do they find you for weight loss?
cause this [3rd Party Biz] thing looks wicked dude

most people are searching for [3rd Party Biz]. They are the qualified prospects I want. People who are looking for a business and a team. But people do find me for weight loss and athletics also
[3rd Party Biz] is very awesome…
I have been with 2 other companies and did very little. With [3rd Party Biz] I started being successful in my first month

I have to blog anyway so why not make money doing it

so then you know this:



there’s 135k search volume in [Country] for [3rd Party Biz] in [Country] but no search volume for your other keyword terms
so that post is on page one because you did a great job optimizing, but no one’s looking for the term you optimized for so the term isn’t competitive

Kind of yes but have been getting hit like crazy on it

people will see your video DON and get the impression that having their blog on empowered will get them page one ranking but that doesn’t mean it’s for a profitable term
i like you Don, you know this, it’s why I threw all that free info at you before. be careful with your reputation friend.

It depends on their SEO work also…. They can use their keywords how they want to use them and it will get them ranked high just because Empower is liked so much by Google. So they get the hits they are looking for. I have made more contacts and sales through Empower in 2 months than I did in 2 years with my other blog

also when i looked at [don.com] i saw post titles i’ve already seen on other empowered network blogs. i hope the content isn’t the same, because google will hit you for dupe content, i don’t need to tell you this

and believe me, Don, google will come across your blog and probably already has and dropped your ranking because empowered network is a bigger site. so your site is considered the scammer

I am slowly veering away from business on my main blog to training…. and keeping empower for [3rd Party Biz] only…
actually my site rankings have been rising. I really dropped after that freakin panda update.
was under a million and the next day at 6 million lol

Don take a look at the webmaster guidelines. read through it. you’ll find out what google really loves and why you were affected by Panda

the one where you show how you made google page one. full disclosure would have been telling people there was no search volume for it. you’re getting hits because people are curious, they see the video on your empowered network blog and want to see how you rank, but in the long term…

I’m glad you found empowered and it’s helped you. my old school ways barely made me  2/3 of my old corporate income this past year and i barely sleep 4 hours. lol. but it puts food on the table while i grow u know?

Know how you feel… going to augment that video. Thought I was clear in it thought that it was the local searches that rank higher… will make it clearer. lol
