Empower Network: Where You Learn Nothing Part 2
So what has Don really learned from Empower Network?
Don has learned to follow the pack and post what everyone else is posting.
Don has learned to make Youtube videos.
Don has learned SEO but not search engine marketing.
Let me clarify that one:
Don gets how to optimize his post but he doesn’t get how to keyword research for terms people are really looking for nor does he get how to evaluate his competition to see if the post would fall into a profitable niche and if he could compete in that niche.
Don has learned to promote Dave Woods aka Empower Network.
Don has learned to suck his friends in too with promises of making money from home.
How do you make that money?
By promoting Woods/Empower Network to your friends, network and family.
Don taught me about multi level marketing.
Ana taught me what multi level marketing is in Empower Network terms.
They suck you in at $25/month and then sell you training packages at $1000.

I’m disappointed in Don, yes. I’m more disappointed in myself.
Don mentions in our conversation that I saved his butt.
To be frank, I did give Don a theme for his website, I did give him instructions on search engine optimizing and search engine marketing and building backlinks. All for free. What I didn’t do was push Don to do what I told him to do.
When you’re building a relationship with people for the first time, even if you’re doing them a favor, it’s hard to get in their face about shit they should do. You don’t want to critique what people are doing knowing there’s a chance they may hate you.
It’s like revealing you’re a really bossy bitch after the wedding.
That was over a year ago.
Now?
Thanks to the Ryze coaching I had a few months back, I’m very frank about being bossy. It’s even in my Linkedin profile and on my business site. I’m a no-Bullshit kinda gal. I’m not hiding it. I’m telling you up front and if you don’t want to work with me, it’s your chance to leave before we get started.
I wish I had the guts to be so back then with Don. If so, he wouldn’t be practically brand-less today.

Don is now one of too freaking many who are not promoting themselves but instead they’re promoting Empower Network.
Though Don can argue otherwise, I’ve been watching him.
I’ve been watching his sites.
Don is another peg in the Empower Network system.
Nothing more.
Google “Empower Network Scam” and you’ll find posts and videos like crazy about how EN is not a scam. They’re all very very similar.
Start looking at several blogs and you’ll find their posts are all very similar.
The Marketing Spiel
Empowered Network (EN) and their affiliates will tell you how much Google loves their blogs because they have this 5k alexa. Guess what? Similar to having a blogspot blog. The empowered network blog you get is owned by EN and is a subdomain of their website. If you leave, you lose access to your posts. They can take your ass down at anytime.
The difference between blogspot and Empowered Network is, #1 you’re promoting EN and #2 you don’t gain a higher alexa with blogspot. Makes you kinda wonder why Google wouldn’t do it themselves…hmmmm. Then you gotta ask yourself, why is Google letting them carry on and rank and for how freaking long will it go on?
Also, did you notice from the conversation between Don and myself that the members are all linking to each other. That’s from their EN blog and whatever other blog they have. Plus they’re sharing across all social media platforms. And what are they sharing? Their EN posts. Lots of backlinks going to Empowered Network.
What do I suggest you do?
Here’s the deal.
If you just want to make money and don’t care how you do it or what happens to your reputation or what will happen in the future if/when Empower Network goes down the drain…then sign up with them.
If you want a real business that you can be proud of and grow and be known for, actually build a brand, work hard, have patience and get training when needed.

Most importantly, don’t give up! You can do this! So many people have before EN and still are even when competing with EN.

I love how you make it clear, if you wanna make $, not a reputable life, use EN – if you want a solid brand and the confidence to bring it to life *get proper training*.

Ya know, I remember my dad back in the day as a salesman…shady deals, deceiving people and always ready to do anything to make a fast buck…who is he now? a salesman who’s been in the same industry 35 years and known by no one but those few guys who are willing to pay him a few bucks behind closed doors, as he waits to retire and collect social security checks so he can keep surviving until it’s time for him to die.
A reputable foundation can lead to good things. What you put out into the world will come back to you.

As with Jason, I’ll comment here too, as a follow up to my comment on Part 1. Yup, what you said about EN is basically what I said about IRL MLM schemes. And yes, I call it a scheme (funny how close it sounds to scam) because that’s what it is. It’s just the big shots making money from the little people who are just desperate to make a quick buck.
I’m with you. Work hard on your own brand, be true to yourself and you’ll get somewhere. No quick route to real success.
