Going from Blog to Biz and Giving Out Freebies

Giving it Away, an Investment in Your Business

Believe it or not, the first thing you do when you launch a new service or product is, you give it away. For free. Yep.

Promotional giveaways are nothing new in business. Or in blogging.

In business you’ll find software + apps that allow you to try their services for free for 30 days, supermarkets giving away samples of a new product, hair salons offering free eye brow waxing with your next purchase.

In blogging you’ll find giveaways of everything from soap to iPads to trips to Disney World.

Man, bloggers giveaway better shit. Yes, I know it’s via a sponsor. LOL. Still, better shit.

WHY?? Why give stuff away?

Builds brand awareness. You can bet your butt that if someone want a free iPad, they’ll Like, Tweet, Stumble, whatever it takes to get one, thus sharing with their community that you and your service/product exists. Let’s face it, on the WWW, we’re all just little fishies in a huge pond and will go unnoticed 99% of the time if we have small budgets…or no budgets. But one percent of everyone on the www, is a big chunk of people, so don’t feel discouraged. We need people to know we exist and a giveaway is a great option.

Custom Designed WordPress Theme Giveaway

Yes, I could have just titled this post “custom designed WordPress theme giveaway” but as always, I wanted to share something with y’all and frankly, I’m hoping that a fellow blogger who’s interested in going from blog to biz, will be the winning contestant.

It’s not a requirement.

I’m just hoping to help my fellow bloggers offset their costs of building their business. So if you’ve been thinking of updating your blog design to assist in attracting sponsors, to sell your ebook, to sell other people’s stuff as an affiliate, this giveaway will definitely help with your budget. And, AND, if you’re not the winner, there’s still something in it for you.

But without further ado, to kick off the launch of my service offering of WordPress Blog Designing at an affordable price for my fellow bloggers, I’m giving away a custom designed WordPress theme and a 25% discount on my services. Please take note of the dates listed below.

Why not turn your blog into a business?

I know, in my last post “Why not turn your blog into a business“, I promised to supply you with a list of Qs in the next post. But aren’t giveaways cool? Also? My site was hacked Saturday night and I spent all day Sunday getting it back up. I never did get to put those Qs down. But I will have it for you soon. So stay Tuned!

Also, I’d appreciate it if you could share this post via Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, StumbleUpon, whatever your choice of poison.
