Believe it or not, the first thing you do when you launch a new service or product is, you give it away. For free. Yep.
Promotional giveaways are nothing new in business. Or in blogging.
In business you’ll find software + apps that allow you to try their services for free for 30 days, supermarkets giving away samples of a new product, hair salons offering free eye brow waxing with your next purchase.
In blogging you’ll find giveaways of everything from soap to iPads to trips to Disney World.
Man, bloggers giveaway better shit. Yes, I know it’s via a sponsor. LOL. Still, better shit.
WHY?? Why give stuff away?
Builds brand awareness. You can bet your butt that if someone want a free iPad, they’ll Like, Tweet, Stumble, whatever it takes to get one, thus sharing with their community that you and your service/product exists. Let’s face it, on the WWW, we’re all just little fishies in a huge pond and will go unnoticed 99% of the time if we have small budgets…or no budgets. But one percent of everyone on the www, is a big chunk of people, so don’t feel discouraged. We need people to know we exist and a giveaway is a great option.
Yes, I could have just titled this post “custom designed WordPress theme giveaway” but as always, I wanted to share something with y’all and frankly, I’m hoping that a fellow blogger who’s interested in going from blog to biz, will be the winning contestant.
It’s not a requirement.
I’m just hoping to help my fellow bloggers offset their costs of building their business. So if you’ve been thinking of updating your blog design to assist in attracting sponsors, to sell your ebook, to sell other people’s stuff as an affiliate, this giveaway will definitely help with your budget. And, AND, if you’re not the winner, there’s still something in it for you.
But without further ado, to kick off the launch of my service offering of WordPress Blog Designing at an affordable price for my fellow bloggers, I’m giving away a custom designed WordPress theme and a 25% discount on my services. Please take note of the dates listed below.
Here’s the deal:
One lucky winner will receive the The “I Know What I Want” Setup or the The “Brainstorming” Setup.
These packages include but are limited to:
This giveaway includes one round of changes to the design and then me installing and configuring your theme on your WordPress self-hosted site along with widgets/plugins for functionality and tracking. This giveaway does not include the cost of moving your blog from Blogger to WordPress (though I will provide this service at 25% off it’s already affordable price). This giveaway does not include the purchase of 3rd party widgets/plugin or the design of a logo. However, I may be able to finagle you a free logo/header design. I ask that the winner write a short review on their blog about the service I provided (and to include the person who creates the logo/header, if applicable). I ask that the winner leave a link to the review in the comments section of my services page.
The giveaway will start November 10th 2011 (subscribe to my newsletter or rss feed for a reminder) and end November 20th 2011. The winner will be announced November 22st 2011 once picked via Random.org.
The requirements to enter are:
<a href=”http://afterbedtimeblog.com/wordpress-blog-design/” rel=”dofollow” >Custom WordPress Theme Design</a>
The above requirements equal One Entry to this Huge Package.
For additional entries, do the below and leave a comment that you did for each entry. (it helps me to verify that I have all entries listed) Each of these actions offer one entry each.
From Today, November 7th 2011 to December 7th 2011, I’m offering 25% off the affordable pricing on ALL my WordPress Design + SEO services. Projects must be booked during this time period with a deposit of 50% to qualify for the discount. Design projects take 4 to 15 days to complete depending on your place in the queue, the services you’ve booked and your response time. Multiple projects may overlap.
And that’s it folks! Good luck to all. Check out my Gallery of Website Makeovers.
I know, in my last post “Why not turn your blog into a business“, I promised to supply you with a list of Qs in the next post. But aren’t giveaways cool? Also? My site was hacked Saturday night and I spent all day Sunday getting it back up. I never did get to put those Qs down. But I will have it for you soon. So stay Tuned!
Also, I’d appreciate it if you could share this post via Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, StumbleUpon, whatever your choice of poison.

Hi, I’m in the process of getting my blog live, but I’m having some trouble. It should be up by tomorrow, but I’m worried it won’t be up by the contest’s end. I posted about the giveaway, and for now you can see it here: http://hardlyahousewife.com.previewdns.com/. I hope I’m still qualified, I really need this!!
